Dave Patchin is one of San Diego's most respected PGA Teaching Professionals and especially loves teaching children of all ages. He has played a key role in forming thousands of outstanding players from ages 3 to 93. He has been teaching golf in San Diego for more than 28 years and has taught more than 30,000 hour-long golf lessons. Dave excels at teaching to all skill levels using the latest video technology. 

Dave Patchin started playing golf at age 13 and by his senior year in High School, he was captain of the 1978 Idaho State Golf Champions, an All-State Golf selection, as well as Valedictorian of his High School Class. Dave received a full ride Golf Scholarship to Idaho State University, where the team qualified for the 1981 National Championships. After college, Dave left Idaho and moved to San Diego to play golf year round. He had many amateur wins and qualified for the 1985 Hine Cup Matches and the 1989 Century Club Team, which matches San Diego's top 10 Amateurs against San Diego's top 10 PGA Professionals. The highlight of Dave's playing career was qualifying for the PGA Tour. He qualified at Torrey Pines in San Diego and played in the 1989 Shearson Lehman Hutton Open. As a professional, Dave is a 2-time winner on the San Diego PGA Chapter Tournament Series. 

Dave was the Assistant Golf Coach at UC San Diego for 3 years. The UCSD Golf Team finished 2nd in the nation 2 of the 3 years. He has been featured on Channel 10 Evening News "Golf Tip of the Week."
